Lakshmi shares her experience

I consider myself lucky to have had such an inexplicably beautiful experience which has certainly changed my outlook towards everything.

There is nothing else that could have brought more joy to my heart than having spent a wonderful time with who I would like to call ‘Little Angels ’.

They taught me the true meaning of happiness and how it can come from even so little.
All this while, when I was teaching them English; I got to learn something new everyday.
Their smiles constantly inspired me to be something greater in life.

How I wish that I could transmit this experience to all my peers because the truth is that we don’t realize what we are missing in life until we come across the less fortunate.

I hope more people join us and achieve the same contentment that I did.

Lakshmi

We ask you for your helping hand

Their gleaming eyes portray a satire of sad optimism amidst the worst circumstances that their life has put them in. They have dreams and aspirations just like all of us which might meet a sad fate without a helping hand.

You can be part of our initiative in alleviating them from their present living conditions and thus ensuring a brighter future.

We present you this opportunity to make a big difference in their lives with simple efforts.

You can help us by donating:
1. Clothes (in good condition).

2. Food items (Rice and dal in individual packets of 1 kg each)

3. Your time…. as a volunteer.

We also welcome financial help to buy vaccines and medicines.

YOU AND I CAN CHANGE THEIR LIVES.

Summer shoes

Donated by MARIPAU and FEELING INDIA...

...to 40 children of FHE

TESTIMONIALS FROM OUR BENEFICIARIES

Asha
I am a beneficiary of FHE. I come to the FHE daily for classes. Here, many girls of different grades come to study. The teachers here are very good as they help us with our studies and also teach us good manners. They are very nice to us.
I have learnt many things after I joined FHE. Now, I keep myself, my home and the surroundings clean. I have better health now as we get nutritious food daily after class. The regular medical check-ups help me in staying disease free.

Payal
I study in FHE. I like FHE a lot. Here, we have many facilities. Apart from studies, we are taught manners here. I have changed a lot in the way I behave like my other friends who are in FHE.
We get nutritious food daily and we have a doctor visiting us once in a week. Apart from all these, we get clothes (summer as well as winter), bags and shoes from FHE.
We are all very happy because of FHE.

Rekha
I feel at home in FHE. It’s a place where I have learnt many things. The teachers here are like gurus for me as they guide us the way ahead. They love us like their own children.
FHE is like a Vidya Mandir (temple of education) for me. Apart from bookish knowledge, I have learnt all the small and big things of life here.
I will always remember FHE and I’ll respect it all my life.

Ritu
I studied in FHE. Everybody at FHE, the teachers and the students are all good. The FHE center is very beautiful.
FHE has taught us many good things- to respect parents, to love our siblings, to keep the house and surroundings clean, to maintain hygiene etc.
Here, the mothers are taught stitching and also preparing nutritious food for us.
We are healthier now. We are all happy. Thank you FHE.

Literacy Program for the beneficiaries of Health and Nutrition Project

During the nutrition project, it was found that the women could not follow the basics of measurements; we realized that classes for basic reading and writing were very much needed. Therefore, we started a literacy Program wherein the children taught their mothers at their homes as they are out due to work during the day time.
Our teachers are supervising them every 15 days by visiting their homes. Children are very excited as they have got the opportunity to teach their mothers.

Dr. Shweta K. Javali inaugurated the program by explaining them that their daughters will share the knowledge that they had gained through these years in FHE with their mothers as a small gift for their efforts

All the women were supplied chalks, slates and other materials for their studies by FHE

Feeling India brought cheers to the faces of the women by bringing for them goodies, which the women can't generally afford
