THE HEPATITIS-A VACCINATION CAMP FOR THE GIRLS OF MUSKAAN

In honor of Maria Roxana Sarsotti, a vaccination camp for the girls of Muskaan was organised by her friends on 7th of December, 2012

Elisabetta Mollica visited Muskaan with her family and brought home-made fried rice for the children. The children enjoyed it and are very grateful to them.

The newly admitted girls of Muskaan with their new winter clothes and new shoes. When asked how they felt after getting the new things, they said that these are the first shoes of their lives, although their brothers always had it.

This points to the female discrimination prevalent in India.

Visit of Mr. Javier Gila at HKV

Javier Gila, President of AIDA from Spain, visited Muskaan on 3rd November and interacted with our children.



New dresses for girls of Muskaan

Ms. Pooja Dhingra and Ms. Monika Bielecka visited Muskaan on 2nd November. Monika brought food for the girls and Pooja gave new dresses to the girls.
The girls loved their new dresses :)
Both of them helped in decorating our newly painted 'Muskaan'.

MUSKAAN...FHE has a new name for HKV project!

'Muskaan' is a word in hindi language which means 'smile'...and that is the new name for FHE's HKV Project.

The name was suggested by Ms. Pooja Dhingra and the logo was designed by Ms. Monika Bielecka.

VACCINATION CAMP AT HKV

A vaccination camp was organised for the children of HKV on 29th October.
During the survey done at HKV by the volunteers of FHE, it was found that a number of children have never got vaccinated. It was necessary to vaccinate them and therefore the camp was organised.

Dushehra Mela at Aralias, Gurgaon, India

FHE was provided an opportunity to visit the Aralias (Residential Complex in Gurgaon) by Ms. Priyadarshini and Ms. Monika Bielecka on 24th October. The occasion was Dushehra (a festival  celebrated in India).
 FHE could sell the carry bags and paintings made by the girls of Hauz Khas Village in one of the many stalls that were put up in the Aralias.
These beautiful carry bags are due to the efforts of Sheryl with the children of HKV

MEDICAL CAMP AT YAMUNA KHADAR

A Medical camp was organised at Mayur Vihar Yamuna Khadar, Delhi, on 29 September 2012. Apart from medical check- up, packets of rice and pulse were given to women and our VOLUNTEERS taught the children.
Our friends from FEELING INDIA brought juice and cookies for the kids.

Thanks to our volunteers, donors and well-wishers, the event was a success :)
